Maintenance Utilities: Import, Misc. Utilities, Delete, Pack and Reindex, START

Packing and reindexing  will permanently remove and free up space taken up by deletions and sort the database files. Reindex recreates the ".CDX" files (index files) associated with the database.

On this screen you will see a list of all the database tables used in the program.  Put a check next to the file that you want to Pack and/or Reindex. You may click on "ALL FILES" to check/uncheck all the files. You may also click on "ALL Offers" to check/uncheck all the offer files.

For each file choose whether you want to "Pack & Index" or "Reindex only". Reindexing only will save time if only the CDX (index) files are corrupted.

The time it takes to run this function depends on the amount of records there are to process and the speed of the cpu & hard drive. If you have several million records in offers, it could take several hours.
