Maintenance Utilities: Import, Misc. Utilities, Delete, Pack and Reindex, START

This screen is where you start the maintenance process.

Lock Database from other users for faster processing - Using this option will give the maintenance exclusive access to the database files. This will speed up the processing. You must make sure that no users are in any of the databases to use this function.

Utilities Description List / Status - This is the list of functions that will be processed. Once you begin maintenance, this list will be updated with the status of the utility function that is currently running. Each time a function completes, it will show the time that it finishes. The Status column will also tell you if any function does not finish.

Begin Maintenance - Click this button to start the maintenance process. While running the maintenance, you will see various counters and status bars depending on the functions. The time that will take to run these utilities depends on functions selected and the size of the database files. You may also cancel out of maintenance by clicking on the "Cancel" button. Once it finishes, you will see a dialog box stating that it finished or it will tell you if any functions failed. If any failed, you can browse through the Utilities Description List and look at the Status.

Start Over - When maintenance finishes, a "Start Over" button will be available. Click on this button to clear all the selections and choose the maintenance functions again.
