 Add/Edit Inventory

Back To Main Menu


This is the data entry screen used when manually adding or editing an inventory record.

This function is only available with the Inventory Module

You can access this window through different ways:
- On the menu bar, choose Maintain-Inventory
- On the PartBase Classic Menu, click on "Add Parts", then select "Inventory"
- In the Search Inventory window, edit the part

Go to the first record  (Ctrl-PgUp) Add new record.
Go to previous record (PgUp) Save record (Alt+S)
Go to next record (PgDn) Undo changes
Go to last record (Ctrl-PgDn) Delete
Exit

 

Field Description
Quantity Offer quantity
Prefix The prefix or the first alphabetical characters of the part number. See sample above.
Part Number Base number of the part number. This should start with the first numeric character in the part number. See sample above.
Alt. Part Num. Alternate part number. This field is also searchable in Search Inventory.
Mfg. Part manufacturer
Date Code Date Code of part
Package Package type
[N]ew/[P]ull Condition of the part. This is a 1 character field
Code When entering manually,  this is a free field that you may use as you wish.

If OEM excess or availabilities is imported into inventory through "Import Data", this field is used to code the inventory as excess
Location Inventory Location
Comment Comment or description
Cost Cost of part
Resale Resale price
Resale Updated Date the resale price was last updated
Vendor Company code of vendor.
If part is an OEM Excess or availability, then its the OEM's company code
Entered By If part was entered manually, this field will contain the username logged in at the time it was entered.

If the part was imported with the "Import Data" utility, it will contain the text "IMPORT"
Entry Date Date the record was created or imported
