Importing IC Source "DIGEST.ZIP" Email 

General Information:

You should save your ICSource DIGEST.ZIP email attachments in this folder or create your own folder to save the DIGEST.ZIP file to.

When you have finished saving your e-mail attachments into the proper directory, you can proceed with importing the DIGEST.ZIP file.

Go to the "Classic Menu" and select "Maintenance Utilities" or from the menu bar select "Utilities" then "Maintenance Utilities"

Check the "Import IC Source DIGEST.ZIP Email" check box - the "Settings" dialog box will appear

IC Source DIGEST.ZIP file location - Enter or Select the folder that contains the DIGEST.ZIP file

Delete file after import - Select this option if you want to delete the DIGEST.ZIP file after the import process

Import Companies - Select this option if you wish to import companies or member IDs. There are two ways of importing companies. You will have to choose 1 of the 2 following options:

Add unrecognized companies to PartBase using IC Source Member ID - When an unrecognized IC Source Member ID is found, this option will add the company to the PartBase company database. The IC Source Member ID will be used for the Company Code.

Add unrecognized IC Source Member IDs to Convert Codes Table - When an unrecognized IC Source Member ID is found, this option will add the IC Source Member ID to the Company Codes Conversion Table. If this Member ID have previously been imported using the Import IC Source Emails, the PartBase company code will also be entered in the conversion table. You can then later run the Convert Company Codes utility to enter in the corresponding PartBase company code.

    View report of added companies/codes after import - Select this option to view a report of the new companies or codes that had been added.

Import Offers - Select this to import the offers from the DIGEST.ZIP file

Import Requirements - Select this to import the requirements from the DIGEST.ZIP file

Ignore Quantity less than - PartBase will not import the quantity less than the number in this box.

 

Choose OK to close this window

Go to the START tab to begin maintenance. 

As the parts are importing, it verifies the company codes. If the company code is not found in the company database, it will look in the Company Codes Conversion Table. If it exists in the Conversion Table, it will then convert it to the corresponding PartBase company code.
